Mastering the Mysteries of Love

is a hands-on, activity-based course that teaches healthy marriage relationship enhancement skills for married and engaged couples.

These proven techniques help couples build skills such as showing understanding, discussion skills, expression skills, and much more. By the end of the course, couples will learn how to establish and maintain honesty, compassion, empathy, and trust in their relationship.

 

Generally speaking, our parents and their marriages are in crisis. The trauma of having lost their children contributes to these couples' reacting to each other with a high intensity of emotions. Because of the volatile nature of these interactions, we find that we usually need to make modifications to fit each couple's immediate needs. Mostly, our instructors model effective communication skills as they address these couples' most pressing issues.

The couples we serve at Compassion House are in dire need of these simple tools for effective communication.

 

Arguing and fighting can be drastically reduced when couples learn to express themselves better, listen to each other, come to agreements, and follow through in ways that bring out the best in each person.

Some of our couples, who are already in our parenting classes, Nurturing God's Way, have requested Marriage Enrichment classes also incorporate Biblical principles. We provide this additional information based on their needs and preferences.
