Helping Families Stand and Stay Together
offers targeted, short-term assistance to families navigating temporary hardship. Our goal is to prevent separation, homelessness, or crisis by helping families stay together — and grow stronger.
The Family Stabilization Program offers structured, short-term support for Compassion House clients working toward long-term healing and independence. Through wraparound care and a dedicated case team, families receive the resources they need to overcome crisis and thrive.
This structured outreach initiative is designed to support families who are are facing urgent challenges such as job loss, financial instability, housing insecurity, or family stress. Through customized plans and short-term case management, we help bridge the gap during times of crisis to keep families together and out of long-term intervention systems.
Each participating family receives a custom support plan based on their specific needs. Services may include:

Domestic violence shelters
Life & Parenting Skills Development
Mental Health Support
Transportation Assistance
Family-Centered Approach
Evidence-Based Practices
Long-Term Support

To be eligible, a family must:
Be an existing Compassion House client
Have met key milestones in their reunification or case plan
Pass current drug screenings
Be committed to engaging with the case team and program structure
Our staff will carefully review each applicant to ensure the program serves those with the highest potential for sustained stability and transformation.

Due to the depth of care and resources involved, we are only able to serve a limited number of families at one time. Our team will select up to four qualifying families to receive full services under this program at any given time.
We encourage all clients who are on the path to stability and interested in participating to speak with their case manager about eligibility and upcoming openings.
